October 20, 2025 [Event Highlights] A Report on the TAECT Delegation's Participation in the AECT Annual Meeting in the United States

This year, a delegation of six professors from the Society, namely Cui Mengping, Xu Xinyi, Yu Fuyun, Zhao Zhenyi, Li Jialing, and Chen Xinzhu, participated in the AECT Convention symposium held in Las Vegas, USA (October 20-24, 2025).

During the workshop, TAECT hosted two sessions:

1. TAECT Panel: Reimagining Education: International Insights on Educational Communications and Technology

      A cross-national panel featuring past and current presidents of both TAECT and AECT, focused on emerging educational technology trends and collaborative futures between Taiwan and the US

This session invited Dr. Marcus Childress, Dr. John Curry, Dr. Wei-Chen Hung, Dr. Chiaki Iwasaki, Dr. Noble Po Kan Lo, and Chairperson Cui Mengping. The discussion on future cooperation directions was chaired by Chih-Hsiung Tu and received enthusiastic responses from the professors present.

2. The second session is TAECT: Unlock the Future (Key Research Highlights from TAECT, Scholars and professionals from Taiwan will share an overview of the current research trends and insights, highlighting the latest research findings in Taiwan)

Six professors from the association presented the latest research findings in Taiwan's educational communication and technology fields at the conference, which sparked lively academic discussions and received widespread feedback.

          In addition, during the seminar, we also specially invited Taiwanese scholars living in the United States to participate in the "Taiwan Night" gathering, in order to strengthen exchanges, promote connections and deepen friendships.

    During this AECT symposium, we not only expanded our professional exchanges with the international community, but also gained many valuable suggestions and directions for future cooperation.

   The Society would like to express its gratitude to Professor Tu Chih-Hsiung, International Director of Northern Arizona University, Professor Chen Hsin-Chu, Deputy International Director, and Justine Chien, Instructional Design Specialist of the University of Wisconsin–Madison Szu-Yueh Justine Chien, for their planning and preparation over the past six months, as well as to all the participating professors for their enthusiasm in organizing the group and bringing various gifts and Taiwanese snacks.
