TAECT2025 Educational Research Design and Writing Workshop, November 26, 2025

To kick off the upcoming TAECT2025, our organization, together with the Center for Digital Humanities Studies at National Taiwan University, the Institute of Curriculum and Instructional Communication Technology at National Taipei University of Education, and the Taiwan Society for Social Robotics, co-hosted a pre-TAECT2025 workshop. We invited Professor David Gijbels from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and Dr. Siem Buseyne, a postdoctoral researcher, to share their experiences in educational research design and academic writing.

Nearly 30 graduate students and scholars from various education-related departments at different universities participated in this workshop. Professor David Gijbels shared his extensive research, writing, journal review, and editing experience, guiding participants to understand the value and spirit of academic research, writing, and publishing from multiple perspectives. Dr. Siem Buseyne shared his team's research findings on how they use artificial intelligence and eye-tracking technology to understand and assist teaching and learning. The participants engaged in lively discussions and gained valuable insights!
