Teaching Media and Learning Technology
The main reason for publishing this book is that its predecessor, *Instructional Media and New Technologies for Instruction*, was published many years ago and, in terms of its overall focus, is quite outdated. Contemporary emerging educational philosophies emphasize active and engaged student learning, and the technology of "learning" has thus received special attention. This book, from its very inception, points out that learning technology is the core of effectively utilizing instructional media, perfectly aligning with this prevailing trend.
Secondly, the pace of innovation in many teaching media cannot be described as merely "leaps and bounds"; and the rapid advancement of technologies linked to computers and the internet, which have become powerful learning tools, is even more astonishing. These teaching media and learning technologies, along with the digitization of information, have entered schools, influencing teachers' daily teaching and forging an inextricable link with students' learning. Integrating teaching technology into domain learning

Research on the Definition and Scope of Educational Technology

The publication of this book stemmed from our society's editorial meeting last year for the book "Teaching Media and Learning Technology." Through the introduction of Shuangye Bookstore, our members discovered that this book offers a broad exploration of various aspects of visual communication. Not only is the content rich and novel, but it also includes highly practical learning objectives, discussions, and exercises, and delves into the technical and social issues of various media presentations. With everyone's approval, the translation and publication of this book was decided upon, and Professors Zhang Xiaoting and Yang Meixue were entrusted with overseeing the entire process.

Application of audiovisual teaching media in primary schools
At the invitation of the Department of Elementary Education of the Ministry of Education, I wrote "The Application of Audiovisual Teaching Media in Elementary Schools," which is included in the National Education Series and is hoped to be widely used to improve elementary school teaching.
The publication of a book is influenced by the context of its time. In particular, the rapid development of hardware makes it difficult to keep up with the times, so it can only serve as a reference. However, the principles and methods of using media in teaching can be appropriately applied to maximize their effectiveness.
